On behalf to the Durham PTA we want to say a big thank you! We had a successful Fall Festival with an estimated 600 people attending. We raised more than $3,800 which all goes back to planning future events. Thank you to all the PTA members, student donations, and all of you for making this happen. Thank you to Mrs. Bonaccorsi for helping us plan this event and Ms. Ceina for collecting more than 170 donations. The class with the most donations are from Ms. Huff and Ms. Munoz class. We are the DURHAM EAGLES! We always do our BEST-nothing less!

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit, all-volunteer association established to benefit all students and departments at Durham Elementary School. Any parent/grandparent/aunt/uncle/friend or faculty at Durham can join the PTA. The PTA brings the staff and parents together to improve children school's experience any way we can. The PTA is committed to enhancing the learning environment of our students by: 
  • Volunteering our time for school events and projects 
  • Fostering communication between parents, staff and the district 
  • Fundraising to help meet school needs that are otherwise unfunded activities

How do I join the PTA?
Membership envelopes are available in the office. The cost is $10.00 per person for a membership. Fill out the envelope and return it in your Wednesday folder or in the office anytime. Its easy! Checks should be made payable to Durham PTA.

Why join the PTA?
Money raised by membership helps keep the PTA running and supports the school.

What about meetings? 
PTA members are encouraged to attend PTA meetings and vote on PTA decisions and bring your ideas to the Association. We meet every other month (see our Events page for dates and times), usually on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Staff Room, starting in September. These meetings are used to decide how to spend the money we raise, bring new and fun events to school, and to increase communications among parents and staff. We welcome and encourage PTA members to attend the meetings, but it is not required.

Join PTA! Become a member for only $10.  Make a donation (tax deductible)!

Spirit Wear! Show your school pride with a Durham Eagle t-shirt or sweatshirt!  Pick one up on Maze day or ask office for an order form!

Box Tops for Education! Check your purchases for a Box Top for Education.  Simply cut them off and return to either your child's classroom or the school office.  We do the rest!
