About the PTA
What has the Harvey Green PTA accomplished for our school and children? Check out PTA's achievements and contributions in the past years
Who can join? Anyone who cares about our school! Parents, grandparents, teachers, siblings, relatives, neighbors, and your friends can sign-up and support Harvey Green Elementary through a PTA membership.
What difference can I make by joining PTA? A huge difference! When you become a PTA Member you can attend General PTA Meetings and vote on issues that are important to you and your child. Our meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the 1st Tuesday of each month in the library, unless otherwise noted. You can help decide what kind of fundraisers will work, when they will be scheduled, and what kinds of programs PTA money will go towards. You can also volunteer to help at our events. The amount of time you commit is up to you.
Where does the money go from PTA Membership Fee? To help students! By joining and participating in the PTA you will help raise money for field trips, assemblies, books, and educational programs. Among the $10.00 membership fee you pay, $4.75 will go to PTA general funds while $5.25 is submitted to Fremont Council PTA for administrative cost. Therefore, the majority of PTA income comes from fundraisers.

Meetings: General PTA Meetings are held every 1st Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise noted. Meetings begin at 7:00PM in the library. Everyone is welcome to attend!
Is my donation tax-deductible? Yes, your donation will be 100% tax deductible. Harvey Green Elementary PTA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with Federal Tax ID # 94-3216305.
Will my employer match my donation to PTA? If your employer offers matching gift for donations to non-profit organizations, please send your inquiry to your HR department and find out whether Harvey Green PTA is qualified to get donation match. If the answer is yes, please feel free to contact us if any info or documents are needed from us in order to set up or activate the account. - Fremont Council of PTAs serves 29 PTA units in Fremont and is a member of Peralta District PTA, the California State PTA, and the National PTA. The purpose of this site is to facilitate communication between all the PTAs of Fremont.
Peralta District PTA encompasses all of Alameda County and is one of 29 PTA districts that make up the California State PTA. Peralta District PTA serves nearly 160 PTAs, about half of which are in the 7 PTA councils (of Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Fremont, Livermore Valley, Pleasanton and San Lorenzo) and the other half in PTA units in the cities of Castro Valley, Hayward, Newark, Oakland, and San Leandro
